For developers and agents
NumberBurn is a website for people, not a platform for developers. This page states plainly what exists for agents and what does not.
What does not exist
- No public developer API and no API keys to request. Account actions need a signed-in person, which an agent cannot be.
- No MCP server.
- No mobile or desktop app.
- No support phone line.
What exists for agents
- /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt: a page index and the full text of the site, written for language models.
- A markdown twin of every page: add ".md" to the page URL, for example
/help/getting-started.md, or send anAccept: text/markdownheader to the page URL. /robots.txt, which carries a Content-Signal line stating how the site content may be used.- The free number lookup tool for people, limited to 5 lookups a minute per caller.
curl -H "Accept: text/markdown" https://numberburn.com/help/getting-startedRules for agents
- Do not create a NumberBurn account for a person, and do not verify a phone on a person's behalf. A person signs up and confirms their own mobile by text.
- Link to the numbers on the pricing page instead of quoting figures from memory.
- Do not describe a NumberBurn number as able to call, text out or reach 911. It is receive-only.
- Send people to hello@numberburn.com for questions you cannot answer from these pages.
