Calls and minutes
Calls to a NumberBurn number ring your one confirmed mobile. Only answered forwarded calls use minutes.
How forwarding works
- In forward mode, a call to the number rings your confirmed mobile.
- The caller sees only the NumberBurn number, never yours.
- Your phone shows the NumberBurn number as the caller ID, so you know which number was called.
- NumberBurn does not record or store call audio. It keeps call details: the time, the caller number and the answered seconds.
Modes
| Mode | Calls | Texts | Minutes used |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forward | Ring your mobile | Arrive in the inbox | Answered calls count |
| Texts only | Not forwarded | Arrive in the inbox | None |
| Block | Not forwarded | Not delivered | None |
What counts as a minute
- Only answered forwarded calls count toward your minutes.
- Each call rounds up to whole minutes. A call of 65 seconds counts as 2 minutes.
- Voicemail counts. If your own carrier answers the forwarded call and takes a voicemail, the call connected, so that time is answered time.
Included minutes and overage
| Basic | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Included minutes each month | 100 | 1,000 |
| Each extra minute | 5 cents | 5 cents |
| Most overage billed in a month | $50 | $100 |
During the 7 day trial you have 100 forwarded minutes for the whole trial, not per month, and no extra minutes. When they run out, calls stop ringing your phone, texts keep arriving, and nothing more is charged; choose "Start my plan now" on your billing page to start your plan sooner.
Alerts and the cap
- NumberBurn emails you when 80 percent of your included minutes are used, and again when overage starts.
- At the monthly overage cap, call forwarding pauses. Texts keep arriving in your inbox.
