# Billing and usage

The NumberBurn plans and trial, how extra numbers are charged, what happens on cancellation.

This page lists the plans, the trial and the rules around extra numbers, cancelling and refunds.

## Plans

## The trial

- The trial lasts 7 days and costs $1, charged when you add your card at checkout.
- A trial account holds 1 number and up to 100 forwarded minutes for the whole trial.
- The full plan allowance starts with your first payment.
- Each person gets one trial.

## Extra numbers

A number held beyond the numbers included in your plan costs $1 a month on Basic and $0.50 a month on Pro. The charge is prorated by the share of your billing period that is left.

## Minutes and burns

- Minutes beyond your included minutes cost 5 cents each, up to the cap. See [calls and minutes](https://numberburn.com/help/calls-and-minutes.md).
- The first burn each UTC calendar month is free after the trial. Each further burn adds $1. See [burn a number](https://numberburn.com/help/burn-a-number.md).

## Cancelling and refunds

- Cancel any time with the ready-made cancel email on the [Billing page](https://numberburn.com/billing). No reason is needed.
- A plan runs to the end of the paid month.
- When a cancellation takes effect, or after repeated payment failure, all of your numbers are burned into quarantine.
- Your first paid month can be refunded if you ask within 7 days of paying it (the $1 trial is not a paid month). A person reviews every refund request.
